  • Our Intensive Outpatient Program meets 5 times a week, both midday and evening with a group of 6 to 10 individuals in the warm and inviting therapy, kitchen and dining space at Be. Our support program integrates a multifaceted approach to being and authentic healing. Each session includes dining together, group therapy (intensive relational therapy & existential therapy) and self-expression via creative arts and body movement. Each component is experienced in a caring, supportive group therapy environment.

Be Collaborative Care's Intensive Outpatient Programming (Be IOP) was created to serve the many individuals who are in the middle stages of recovery.  Be IOP is for those who need to step-down from inpatient level of care or partial hospitalization or as a step-up for those whose weekly outpatient care is not enough support. Be’s approach is rooted in the fundamental belief that authentic human connection is vital to healthy living.  Be IOP seeks to eliminate the isolative phenomenon that fuels disordered eating. Be focuses on increasing connection, personal choice and responsibility.  Be IOP empowers those who are working to make a change, and are seeking full recovery from an eating disorder.

We provide a safe group to eat and process with, because everyone is bringing a piece of themselves to the table. You may express your fears during the process, and the group may highlight your successes. Our relationships with food are intertwined with our feelings about personal self-worth, inadequacy and our deeper fears of not being accepted. This can make it difficult to return to a meal setting with other people. Be IOP is an opportunity for you to relearn the social aspects of eating and challenge the rules and rituals that your eating disorder dictates.

Beliefs about food are such an integral part of our daily lives. Our goal at Be is to normalize eating and focus on our ability to self-nourish. Meal supports at Be are a way for us to sit down with you for a meal and provide emotional support and security as you eat.
